Reading a report
A card covers one event. Its heading names the place, normally as a pair of junctions, and the carriageway affected; underneath is the detail National Highways has logged — a blocked lane, a stranded vehicle, a closure for works — with its expected duration.
Because the A1(M) is split into four pieces, a junction number also tells you the county. Numbers up to 10 are in Hertfordshire, 14 to 17 around Peterborough, 34 to 38 on the Doncaster Bypass, and 40 to 65 from West Yorkshire to Tyneside. The A1(M) junction list gives every number and the places it serves.
What is not on this list
This page is for the motorway sections only. Reports on the plain A1 between them — past the Black Cat and St Neots, Stamford, Grantham and Newark, or north of Newcastle — are on A1 traffic news.
Only logged events appear. Something that happened a few minutes ago may not be in the feed yet, so an empty A1(M) list means nothing reported that we are aware of; it is no guarantee about the carriageway itself.
News by section
Most A1(M) journeys use only one or two of the six section pages, and each of those carries the reports for its own junctions next to its junction list and traffic count: Hertfordshire, Peterborough, the Doncaster Bypass, Ferrybridge to Wetherby, Harrogate to Scotch Corner and Darlington to Washington.

Changing motorway?
